This guild originally was formed with the intent to enhance our worship areas with needlepoint kneelers for around the altar rail and chair cushions. Meeting on Sunday from 2-4 pm the group has expanded to also include all who sew, knit or crochet or just want to sit and chat. Needlepoint, knitting and crochet instruction is offered by request.
Members of this group also make scarves (knitted, crocheted or fleece) to take to the Austin Street Center on Thanksgiving Day, which falls on the 3rd Thursday in November. St. Luke’s regularly delivers a meal to the Austin Street Center. Several Saturdays each year are devoted to stitching and fringing the fleece scarves.
